Inspired by a video mapping project we completed for a past event at this venue, Astor Hostels approached us to create an upgraded setup for the 50th anniversary of their family business. NDVSN produced a visual installation that transformed the dome and two adjoining walls into an immersive visual experience. By carefully integrating the visuals with the venue's architectural features, the installation created a seamless and engaging display that elevated the atmosphere. This project demonstrated how digital techniques can also enhance architectural spaces.
TECHNICAL
The setup involved using five projectors to cover the dome and walls with perfect alignment. To achieve this, we selected projectors suited to the dome's complex geometry and installed them at precise distances to maximize image quality and brightness. Careful planning and fine adjustments were required to ensure distortion-free projections. Additionally, we created and animated a photo shuffle sequence featuring 300 images on the side walls, presenting the company's rich history in a visually dynamic way.
